Miguel de la Torre is a Cuban-American writer and educator. He is the author of two novels, Gonna Trouble the Water and The Happy Emigrants, as well as a collection of short stories, The Restless Cuban. De la Torre's work has been praised for its insightful exploration of Cuban-American culture and the immigrant experience.
